For exhibitors shipping via air remember there is two ways to calculate the chargeable weight. If your goods take up mostly dead space and is bigger than it is heavy you will most likely be charged a volumetric rate.
Volumetric Weight
This is the airline's minimum charge for shipping large (yet light) items. Often times a shipper might be confused why a seemingly light shipment is charged a greater rate than a comparable shipment that is measurably heavier yet smaller in total dimensions.
